Professional Fitness Trainer

Years at Cooper: 19 years in December

Hometown: I was born in Louisiana but have lived all over the United States.

Previous work experience prior to coming to Cooper: I was a physical therapist at Mid Cities Physical Therapy working in spine rehab. I also started a cancer rehabilitation program there.

What is your favorite form of physical activity? I love to mountain bike! There are some really great trails right here in Dallas, but many others all over the state.

After a great day at work, I like to…Chill out by the fireplace with a glass of wine with my dog and my boyfriend.

What is your hidden talent? Walking on my hands.

Do you volunteer in your community? I volunteer with a program that helps our post-9/11 veterans through mountain biking.

How many siblings do you have? I am the youngest of three—my brother is the oldest, then my sister and my parents saved the best for last!

How would your closest friends describe you (in three words)? Funny, fit, committed (or should be!).

Do you prefer outdoor or indoor workouts? I really would prefer outdoor workouts to get out into nature. Things like mountain biking, dirt bike riding (yes as in motorcycle) and hiking are my favorites. Growing up, our family camped quite a bit and I was raised to appreciate the outdoors so that’s where I prefer to spend my time.

My favorite color is…Peach or purple.

If you could have any pet, what would you choose? A Great Dane…oh, I have one of those!

What is your guilty pleasure? I do have a little guilt when we have a really expensive rare bottle of wine.

If you had to sing a karaoke song, what song would you choose? “Don’t Stop Believin’” by Journey.

If you could go to one concert, whose would it be? Tina Turner if she ever comes back.

Where is your ideal vacation spot? RV camping somewhere we can enjoy the outdoors with mountain biking, hiking, hanging out, sitting out by the campfire and cooking steaks with a great bottle of cabernet.
