Years at Cooper: Started in February 2019

Hometown: Dallas, Texas. Even though I am not from here or raised here, Dallas is my hometown.

Previous work experience prior to coming to Cooper: I worked in commercial real estate leasing and management. I’ve also taught yoga in various places around Dallas since 2010.

What is your favorite form of physical activity? Ashtanga yoga, hiking, walking on the beach and any of the Small Group Training (SGT) classes at Cooper.

What do you consider your greatest achievement? Raising great kids who are kind, ambitious, socially conscious and grounded in faith.

Best advice you’ve ever received? “Since your emotions come from your thoughts and you can control your thoughts, you can, therefore, control your emotions.” – Wayne Dyer

If you could have a super power, what would it be? Time travel with teleporting.

What’s the biggest compliment you’ve ever received? “When I leave your class, I feel like I left with more than just a yoga class.”

I am most productive when…I am working toward a goal.

Do you volunteer in your community? Teaching chair yoga at an assisted living facility.

What is your favorite family tradition? Christmastime travel with the family.

What would your high school friends have predicted you’d be doing today? CEO, psychologist or stay-at-home mom.

Do you prefer outdoor or indoor workouts? Why? Outdoor. I love to connect with nature.

What is your favorite saying/quote/phrase? Life is now.

What is your guilty pleasure? Red wine…well, all wine and champagne. Krispy Kreme donuts. Reality TV.

What is on your iPod or on your radio right now? Michael Franti, Rodriguez, Prince, Black Eyed Peas, Elton John, Madonna, Thievery Corp, Billy Joel and Cold Play.

What magazine do/would you subscribe to? Travel and Leisure.

Where is the most interesting place you’ve lived? Bali, if you count one month/year living there. Since 2014, I've traveled to Bali once a year to study yoga in its different forms and to immerse myself in my own practice of yoga, mediation and pranayama (breathing practices).

Where is your ideal vacation spot? I live to travel, so I can’t pick just one spot.
