Since joining CFC in 2002, Charles Phipps has trained with Professional Fitness Trainer Daniel Montes. Within the last few years, Charles has added a weekly session with Swim Pro Marni Kerner to his routine. In his first session Charles could not complete one length of the pool and now he's swimming 250 yards (10 lengths of the pool) each session. All of this at the age of 90.

For more than a decade, Member Aleta McGhee has aspired to participate in the Camino de Santiago in Spain, a 500-mile pilgrimage walk to Santiago de Compostela. Earlier this year she set a goal to train for a 96-mile segment of the pilgrimage. Waking up two hours early to train 14 miles three times a week proved dedication and hard work—which paid off this September in Spain. Aleta also completed her first half marathon, the BMW Dallas Marathon, on Dec. 11.

Congratulations to Member Cindy Bedford! On Dec. 3, she placed first in her age group at St. Jude Memphis Marathon. After the race, she stopped by for a photo with a St. Jude patient Adam.
